The Honourable Omar Alghabra, Minister of Transport, announced the reappointment of Ms. Pascale Daigneault as the new Chairperson of The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL) Board of Directors for a five-year term.

Ms. Daigneault has been a member of the FBCL Board of Directors since 2015 and its Chairperson since 2019. Her reappointment ensures continued stability to the strategic direction defined for the Corporation and solidifies its ability to deliver continued effective management and operational results. Her significant experience and, more recently, critical stewardship during the COVID-19 pandemic have suitably equipped her for these on-going responsibilities.

A resident of Sarnia, Ontario, near FBCL’s Blue Water Bridge, Ms. Daigneault has an impressive résumé of experience and accomplishments. She has formerly served on several Boards including as the president of the Ontario Bar Association, director of the Canadian Bar Association, and director of the Canadian Bar Insurance Association. She is currently sitting on the Board of Lawyers Financial Advisory Services Inc. as well as that of Le Réseau des Femmes du sud-ouest de l’Ontario as immediate past president. Ms. Daigneault, who studied engineering and holds degrees in biochemistry and law from the University of Ottawa, has also obtained her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She currently practices at Fleck Law, a firm she co-founded, dividing her time between Sarnia and Toronto.
