Rakesh Shreewastav, P.Eng., VMA, FEC

Rakesh Shreewastav, Ontario Professional Engineer, Value Management Associate and Fellow Engineers Canada, obtained his MSc degree in civil engineering from Moscow State University, Russia, and currently works for Metrolinx, an agency of the Government of Ontario. Previously, he worked for the Ministry of Transportation Ontario, Ontario Power Generation, and multi-disciplinary engineering companies and government sectors in Russia and Nepal.

Mr. Shreewastav has served on a number of national and provincial boards such as Engineers Canada, Value Analysis Canada, including Vice President of Professional Engineers Ontario. Being dedicated to science awareness and community involvements, Rakesh has also served on judging panels in Canada First Robotics Competition, Regional Science Fairs and on the board of Rotary Clubs in Ontario.

Rakesh was selected among thousands as one of 17 people in Canada to be featured on the video vignette “Potential to Prosperity”, a project sponsored by the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education, to share stories and help newcomers to Canada learn about the importance of regulated professions in Canada, and has also been featured in number of provincial and national publications.

He was appointed to the board of The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited in May 2019.
