On May 10, 2021, the Honourable Omar Alghabra, Minister of Transport, announced the reappointment of Ms. Pascale Daigneault as Chairperson of The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL) Board of Directors for a five-year term.

Ms. Daigneault has been a member of the FBCL Board of Directors since 2015 and Chairperson since 2019. A resident of Sarnia, Ontario, near FBCL’s Blue Water Bridge, Ms. Daigneault has an impressive résumé of experience and accomplishments. She has formerly served on several Boards including as the President of the Ontario Bar Association, Director of the Canadian Bar Association, and Director of the Canadian Bar Insurance Association. She has authored and presented numerous papers and articles, and arranged legal seminars and conferences for several professional organizations.  Ms. Daigneault is currently sitting on the Board of Lawyers Financial Advisory Services Inc. and she is the immediate past president of the Réseau-femmes du sud-ouest de l’Ontario where she continues to offer mentorship.

Ms. Daigneault, who studied engineering and holds degrees in biochemistry and law from the University of Ottawa, has also obtained her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She currently practices at Fleck Law, a firm she co-founded, dividing her time between Sarnia and Toronto.

She holds both American and Canadian citizenship and is fluently bilingual in both Official Languages.

Her significant experience and, more recently, critical stewardship during the COVID-19 pandemic have suitably equipped her for these ongoing responsibilities.
