Overview of the Federal Bridge Corporation Limited Special Examination Reports
In accordance with provisions of the Financial Administration Act, every ten years, The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited is required to cause a special examination to be carried out on its financial and management control and information systems and management practices.
The purpose of the special examination is to determine if the systems and practices were, in the period under examination, maintained in a manner to provide reasonable assurance that The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited assets are safeguarded and controlled; that its financial, human and physical resources are managed economically and efficiently; and that its operations are carried out effectively. It is the responsibility of the Auditor General of Canada to express an opinion on whether there is reasonable assurance that during the period covered by the examination there were no significant deficiencies in the systems and practices examined.
